  • The Medford Food Co-op is conducting a national search for a new general manager.
The Co-op's current manager, Emile Amarotico, will take the top slot at the Ashland Food Co-op, replacing Richard Katz who is retiring effective July 1.
Medford's board of directors praised Amarotico's performance in launching the Co-op, stating in a news release that his new position "harbors an even closer working relationship between our co-ops and the growth of the co-op experience in the Rogue Valley."
"Our sales are presently 33 percent above last year and we intend to continue that trend," the notice said.
The board will hold its annual meeting and election of new directors, at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 18, at the Old Scottish Rite Hall on the corner of East Barnett Road and North Phoenix Road, Medford. Organic refreshments will be served.
