    North's Walker third in Cascade Challenge

  • ROSEBURG — North Medford's Joey Walker tied for third overall and the Black Tornado boys golf team finished second at the Cascade Challenge at Roseburg Country Club.

  • ROSEBURG — North Medford's Joey Walker tied for third overall and the Black Tornado boys golf team finished second at the Cascade Challenge at Roseburg Country Club.
    Walker shot a 77 and teammate Brandon Galante tallied with 78 as North finished at 319.
    The Indians took three of the top four places to win the competition with a low score of 307 in the eight school tournament.
    Devin Caylor of Roseburg won medalist honors with a 75.
    In girls, Sheldon had the two low scores and captured the team event with a score of 323. Grants Pass finished third (418) in the five-school field.
    The top local girls finishers were Donnie Thompson of Grants Pass (92) and Crater's Fallon Wallace (97).
