St. Mary's junior guard Emily Alvarez was selected to the Class 3A state basketball first team, while Cascade Christian junior post Alaina Thomson landed second-team honors and St. Mary's sophomore guard Rose Alvarez took home third-team recognition.
Emily Alvarez averaged 15.2 points per game while shooting 52 percent from the field on 2-pointers and 39 percent on 3s for the Crusaders, who finished second in the 3A state tournament.
Thomson averaged 14.9 points and 8.1 rebounds for the Challengers (14-12).
Emily Alvarez and Thomson shared Southern Cascade Hybrid player of the year honors.
