Frank and Carmen Hernandez of Medford celebrated their 65th anniversary with a home dinner on March 31. Twelve people attended the event.
Frank Hernandez married Carmen De la Rosa on April 4, 1948, in San Francisco. They have six children: Victoria of San Diego; Christine of Medford; Sylvia of San Antonio, Texas; Daniel of Medford; Stephen of Peoria, Ariz.; and Mark of Medford; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Frank is a World War II veteran, prisoner of war and Purple Heart recipient. After the war, he moved to San Francisco, where he met Carmen at a dance in 1947. They were married a year later, and raised their children in Menlo Park, Calif., where they ran a cabinet business together.
They retired and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1985, and they continue to ballroom dance and enjoy their life in Medford with their children, grandchildren and involvement in their church.
