Ashland police look for would-be burglar

Ashland police are looking for a man who broke glass out of the front door of the Ashland Liquor Store with a large rock early Saturday morning, but then ran away without going inside.

Surveillance video shows a man charge at the store at 40 Lithia Way at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6, and hurl a large rock at the glass door. The glass chips, then shatters, but the man runs away.

Video footage from the store shows a man of average height and build wearing white-toed tennis shoes, dark socks, dark shorts with three vertical stripes and a gray hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the left sleeve and a blue hood.

Police ask anyone with information to call 541-482-5211 or the tip line at 541-552-2333. Emails can also be sent to
