  • ROGUE RIVER — Kollen Roohr tossed his third straight complete game, striking out nine without a walk to help the Rogue River baseball team take Game 2 4-2 for a Southern Cascade Hybrid split on Saturday.
    The Chieftains dropped the opener, 7-4.
    Roohr allowed four hits and zero earned runs to improve to 3-1. Brennan Moody led Rogue River with two hits, including a two-run double in the second that gave the Chieftains (6-6, 1-1 SCH) the lead for good.
    Lakeview (7-5, 1-1) took advantage of six errors by Rogue River to claim the first game. Chieftain pitcher Garrett Carpenter struck out four and walked two, and all seven runs that the Honkers scored were unearned.
