David Archibald Fleming, 99, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at his home in the Rogue Valley Manor where he has lived since 1987. He was born May 9, 1913 in Maui, Hawaii to David Thomas Fleming and Martha Archibald Foss.
He grew up and lived in Hawaii most of his life. In 1945 in Maui he married Alice Rosland Shoup who preceded him in death in 2003. While a young man he was a mechanical engineer for Baldwin Packers pineapple plantation in Honolua, Maui. Later he owned and operated Shoreline Transportation Bus Lines. David was a Lions Club member and a U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary volunteer. He was an avid fisherman.
