  • Student art takes center stage at the Rogue Gallery & Art Center, 40 S. Bartlett St., Medford.
Eleven students who worked with professional artists as part of the gallery's Teen Mentoring Project will show their work. Fifth-grade students from Jackson and Kennedy elementary schools will display paintings in the art center's Community Gallery. For information on either exhibit, call 541-772-8118 or see www.roguegallery.org.
Kids' art is just part of Third Friday fun in downtown Medford. Galleries and other businesses stay open late showcasing art, music, food and wine.
Medford band The Syndicate, featuring vocalist Cindy Wickman, performs classic and contemporary pop-rock covers from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Vogel Plaza. In conjunction with Earth Day, employees from Pacific Power will be at the Vogel Plaza, too, to discuss the company's Blue Sky program from 5 to 8 p.m.
