Went to be with the Lord March 26, 2013. She was born June 11, 1921 in Robinsonville, Wis. What an amazing wife, mother, and friend! Martha met her husband-to-be in the church choir; she married Wilbur "Digger" Scalberg June 1, 1941. They were married by her father, Ernest Tremblay of Quebec, Canada. Before making the big move to Medford, Digger and Martha lived in Keewatin, Minn. and in 1945 they moved to Medford.

She was a loving mother of three children. One of her children, Annetta, had special needs which led to the development of Living Opportunities, an organization to assist in the needs of people with developmental disabilities, of which she played a large part in creating. She was the Recycle Queen, not wanting to throw away anything. Out of her recycled materials she made household organization items, jewelry, Bible memory games for kids, craft projects for vacation Bible Study schools and Sunday school projects. She was an amazing woman, a prayer warrior for many, and a friend to all.

Left behind are her sons, Ernie Scalberg and wife, Candy, of Carmel, Calif. and Daniel Scalberg, his wife, Kim, and grandchildren, Daniel and Annetta, of Vancouver, Wash. She was preceded in death by husband, Digger and daughter, Annetta.

Graveside memorial service to be held at Memorial Gardens Medford, Ore. April 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Memorials can be given to Eastwood Baptist Church, Living Opportunities, and ARC of Jackson County.

You will be missed Mom, Grandma, Aunt, and friend.
