  • Medford police will sponsor an event to help people safely dispose of unneeded prescription medication and sensitive documents.
The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team and the Drug Enforcement Administration will accept unwanted medication from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, as part of National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Drugs will be collected in the parking lot behind City Hall, 411 W. Eighth St., Medford.
In addition to the drug take-back event, police have partnered with Rogue Disposal & Recycling Inc. to conduct a free shred event at the same date, time and location. This service allows people to have sensitive documents shredded to help avoid the chance of identity theft.
For details about the drug take-back event, contact Lt. Brett Johnson at 541-774-2260. For additional information about the document shredding service, contact Detective Sgt. Brent Mak at 541-774-2204.
