Pacific Wall & Truss adds line to its plant

Pacific Wall & Truss has added a second truss line at its Crater Lake Highway operation, doubling its production capacity.

Dave Estep, truss plant manager and project coordinator, said the second line will allow the firm to keep pace with both residential and commercial demand.

The 6-year-old firm also has added an open web floor joist system to offer builders a complete framing package.

Central Point Chamber honors its Holiday Inn

The Central Point Chamber of Commerce has named the Central Point Holiday Inn Express its Big Business of the Year.

The hotel is one of five hotels in Jackson County managed by InnSight Hotel Management Group.

General Manager Steven Arrasmith said his organization focuses on community involvement, providing volunteers to the Providence hospital system, English as a second language translating services, the Boy Scouts of America, youth sports and the Children's Miracle Network.

Crater Lake Ford earns award from corporation

For the second time in three years, Crater Lake Ford has earned the President's Award from Ford Motor Co.

The corporation honors Ford and Lincoln dealerships that have excelled in automotive retailing in 2013.

The President's Award was established in 1998.

Dealers become eligible through survey responses from customers related to their sales and service satisfaction.

Magazine gives kudoto Butler's Glass Service

Butler's Glass Service and its units — Bill's Glass and Windshields, in Medford and Bill's Glass and Windshields in Ashland — was named by a national auto glass magazine as the No. 2 auto glass company in its category out of more than 28,000 firms in the nation.

It was the only glass shop in Oregon to be named.
