Grange Co-op to return dividends to its patrons

CENTRAL POINT — Grange Co-op, which operates stores in six Southern Oregon communities, will return $193,235 in dividends to member and nonmember patrons whose purchases surpassed $500 during 2012.

This year's retail dividend rate was 2.46 percent, up from 2.35 percent last April. Growing customer support was reflected by 9,788 dividend checks going out in the mail compared with 9,129 last year.

Twenty percent of the dividend typically is paid in cash and 80 percent in equity credits.

Membership is for full- and part-time farmers and ranchers, who primarily reside in Jackson, Josephine and Klamath counties.

Cabela's is opening 2nd Oregon store in Portland

PORTLAND — The sporting goods retailer Cabela's plans to open a Portland-area store next year off Interstate 5 in Tualatin in the new Nyberg Rivers shopping center.

The Oregonian reports it will be the second Cabela's in Oregon and nearly twice as large as the store that opened in 2011 in Springfield. Features will include and indoor archery range and wildlife displays.
