Allred misses cut in Georgia

VALDOSTA, Ga. — Ashland's Jason Allred missed the cut by one stroke at the $650,000 Tour's South Georgia Classic Friday.

Allred shot a 2-over par 74 in his second round at the Kinderlous Forest Golf Club for a 36-hole total of 145. Allred was tied for 41st after posting a 1-under 71 in his opening round.

Hudson Swafford leads the tournament with an 8-under 136. Swafford followed an opening round 69 with a 67 on Friday. Swafford holds a one-stroke lead over five other players.

First-round leader Ryan Spears fell back into a six-way tie for seventh at 139 after a 73 in the second round.
