GLIDE — Cascade Christian's nine-game winning streak was snapped by Class 3A top-ranked Glide in nonconference baseball Friday.
Cascade Christian committed five errors and left eight runners on base in suffering an 8-1 loss to the Wildcats.
The second-ranked Challengers (14-4) lost to Glide 4-0 at U.S. Cellular Community Park on March 18.
The Wildcats (16-1) jumped out to an early lead when a two-out, bases-loaded error led to three runs in the first inning.
The Challengers' lone run came in the third inning. Kyle Ferguson opened with a single and then scored on a fielder's choice.

NORTH MEDFORD-ASHLAND INVITATIONAL — Ashland placed Mischa Kirby in the semifinals in No. 2 singles and Grant Kahn and Nathaniel Baize in the semifinals of No. 2 doubles at the 12-school event at North Medford High.
The Grizzlies have two singles players and a doubles team in the consolation semifinals. Gabriel Lamont and Connor Kaegi are still alive in No. 3 and 4 singles respectively along with No. 1 doubles team of Michael Montes and Max Burt.
Roseburg and Sprague have taken the first-day lead in the team standings.
The tournament concludes today at North Medford High.
ROSEBURG 7, SOUTH MEDFORD 1 — Other than South Medford's Haley Steadman taking down Roseburg's Claire Hittle in a battle of No. 2 seeds, the Indians were in complete control at South Medford High.
Steadman picked up a tiebreaker victory 6-4, 5-7 (10-7) for the Panthers (1-3-2, 1-2-2 SWC).
The fates of South Medford's top doubles team (Riley Finnegan and Abi Borg) and second-seeded squad (Hannah Borg and Brittany Reese) were decided in a pair tiebreaker losses. Both doubles teams boasted 8-4 leads in their tiebreakers before Roseburg rallied for 10-8 wins.

YREKA LIONS INVITATIONAL — At Yreka, Calif., led by Hannah Graunke, St. Mary's was a power in the girls pole vault, placing three in the top five and in the state at Yreka High School.
Graunke and fellow senior teammate Mia Harrie both launched 9 feet, 6 inches but Graunke claimed the win on pure misses for the girls, which placed fifth of 14 teams.
Harrie settled with second and her sister Lily Harrie, a junior, grabbed fifth with a mark of 8-6.
The jumps for Graunke and Mia Harrie gave them the state's top mark in the 3A while Lily Harrie tied for the fifth best jump.
The Crusaders' 4x100 relay team (Mia Harrie, Sam Weiland, Emily Alvarez and Hannah Graunke) took third place with a time of 53.86 seconds while the 4x400 team (Rachel Bennion, Annelise Delgado, Gigi Isola and Alvarez) clocked 4:20.36 for fourth.
The boys finished last of 13 schools.
ALL-SKYLINE — At Klamath Falls, Hidden Valley's Austin Johnson posted the second-lowest individual score and the Mustangs had the best team total against three other schools at Running Y Resort.
Johnson carded an 80 and teammate Derek Boice put up an 85 to lead Hidden Valley to the victory with a 354 team total. North Valley was second at 379.
Mazama's Bryce Wortman shot a 68 to captured medalist honors.
