    The junior pitcher blanked Roseburg on five hits during a Southern Oregon Hybrid sweep. He struck out 10 and walked two as the Black Tornado moved into first place.
    Levi Girardot, Cascade Christian boys track and field
    The senior uncorked the Class 3A’s second-best javelin throw of the season, 177 feet, 2 inches, to win the event at the Sterling Invitational. The mark was a career best.
    Bryce Rogan, Ashland baseball
    The junior outfielder Bryce Rogan was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a stolen base in a 7-4 win nonconference win over Klamath Union. His two-run double in a five-run fifth gave the Grizzlies the lead for good.
    Will Street, St. Mary’s boys golf
    The senior shot an even-par 72 to lead the Crusaders to the team championship in the 14-school Phoenix Invitational at Centennial Golf Club. His 1-under front side helped St. Mary’s to a 306 score.
    Meranda Zanni, Phoenix softball
    The senior blasted two home runs and earned both pitching victories in a Skyline Conference sweep of North Valley. Both homers were two-run shots and she was 4-for-8 on the day.
