  • Suzanne Suze Nelson (Jackson) 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family April 26, 2013 at her home in Eagle Point, Ore. She was born December 31, 1936 in Clackamas County, Ore. She moved with her family to the Eagle Point area as a child where she graduated from Eagle Point High School and remained a lifelong resident.
    She enjoyed her occupation as a dental assistant, learning her trade from Dr. Albert Eaton. Upon retiring she stayed active working on their family farm with her husband. After, she had her morning coffee meetings with the boys at the Barbwire, where her granddaughter had worked. She was very involved with her family including co-organizing the annual camp Jackson reunions with Sally. She also enjoyed helping Bob Nelsen and Fred Hay win races at Southern Oregon Speedway on Saturday nights.
    On her birthday in 1973 she married her perfect match, James Nelson, who remained a loving friend, partner, and husband until her death. Her ashes will be spread on the property they shared awaiting her husband's ashes to join her upon his passing.
    Suze was preceded in death by four brothers. She is survived by her brothers Pete, Bill, Bones, and Wayne; and sister, Gerry. She left her husband here to guard her "nest which included her sons Mark, Gus, and Steve; daughter Vickie; grandchildren, AJ, Keesha, Carissa, Tara, and Josh; as well as many great-grandchildren.
    A celebration of life is planned at her home Saturday, May 25, 2013 starting between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. with a fly-over and aerial spreading of her ashes at 3:00 p.m. by Dwayne Hawkins. It will be a casual get-together of family and friends and all who knew her are welcome to attend. There will be a barbeque potluck, so bring a salad and your stories. And swimsuits for the kids.
    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Providence Home Care and Hospice.
