Talent will highlight its local flavor at the Talent Art and Music Festival, held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 10, in the downtown area. More than 15 Talent businesses will participate in the free event, featuring art, music, food and wine. Maps are available at participating locations.
The festival will include a scavenger hunt. Get a stamp at each venue and return your completed and stamped map to Total Picture, 201 Talent Ave., by 9 p.m. for a chance to win a grand prize of $200 in "Talent bucks" (to be spent at Talent businesses).

Photography by Natasha S. Tatum, plus stained glass, will be at A Colorful Talent, 250 E. Wagner St. Live music by pianist Nolan Indecks, as well as food and wine samples, will be offered at Arbor House Restaurant, 103 W. Wagner St., Talent. Abstract acrylic paintings by Peter Van Fleet, photography by David Lorenz-Winston, monotype prints by Pat Holton, collage by Leslie Tennyson, wine and refreshments will be featured at the Bell House Gallery, 104 S. Market St. Works by local artists, along with cupcakes, will be at Cupcake Daily, 102 Talent Ave. Works by young artists from The Butterfly House preschool, and live music by Twice Born Gypsies, will be at The Grotto, 302 E. Main St. "Light A Way," copper assemblages and oil paintings by Randall Grealish, as well as wines by EdenVale Winery, will be at Harmonic Design & Imaging, 100 E. Main St. Oil and watercolor paintings by Pat Methany, blown glass by Dayton Mason, and live music by Cathy Chow and Brandon Lerda will be at the Healing Arts Center, 106 Talent Ave., Suite 1. Poster art by R. Harris, a bounce house for kids, live music by White Hand and Meadows, wine tasting and a free pizza bar will be at Mystic Treats, 103 N. Pacific Highway.
