'Green Bible' adult study held Monday evening

A "Green Bible" adult study will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 13, at Medford Congregational United Church of Christ, 1801 E. Jackson St., Medford.

First Presbyterian, Ashland sets communion Sunday

First Presbyterian Church of Ashland will hold a communion service at 8 a.m. Sunday, May 12, at the church at Siskiyou Boulevard and Walker Avenue. Following is church school and adult education at 9 a.m., and a worship service at 10 a.m. Fellowship follows worship. Center for Spiritual Living events begin Sunday, May 12

The Rev. Joy-Anne Fournier will give a sermon, "The Architecture of a Mother's Love," at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 12, at the Center for Spiritual Living, 3581 Lear Way, Medford. Children's services will be held during the morning service, followed by a decoration and demonstration of completed drum sticks for those who made drums.

The center's Earth Team will hold an "evolutionary hub" meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Central Point library, 116 S. Third St.

The study of "Conversations with God, Book One" will continue from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the center. Books are furnished and drop-ins are welcome. Call 541-734-8581.


Zion Lutheran Church holds free concert May 14

Zion Lutheran Church will hold a free concert of hymns titled "Page CXVI" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at the church, 516 W. Fourth St., Medford. The performance is an attempt by a band of musicians to make hymns accessible and appealing to people of all ages. Call 541-772-4674.


Mother's Day celebratedat Christ Unity Church

Christ Unity Church, 540 N. Holly St., Medford, will celebrate Mother's Day with a choir presentation at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 12.

Celebration at Temple Emek Shalom set May 14

Temple Emek Shalom will celebrate Shavot, a commemoration of the giving of the Torah, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at 1800 E. Main St., Ashland.

As it is traditional to eat and drink dairy while staying up late studying the Torah, participants are encouraged to bring vegetarian dishes that contain dairy. Cornerstone Christian Church presents lecture

Derek Thomas will present a lecture, "Getting the Gospel Right," from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Cornerstone Christian Church, 608 N. Bartlett St., Medford.
