  • The Southern Oregon Mayflower descendants will hear a talk, called "Is It Party Time at Southern Oregon Wineries?" during a luncheon at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Black Bear Diner, 1150 E. Barnett Road, Medford.
The program will explore how wine-tasting rooms have become mini restaurants and concert venues, no longer serving just wine and crackers.
Speakers will be Cleve Twitchell, former wine columnist for the Mail Tribune, and Nora Lancaster, director of marketing and sales for Kriselle Cellars in Sams Valley.
Event is open to anyone. For details, call Neil Watson at 541-779-0348.
The Siskiyou Koi and Pond Club will hold its annual barbecue and monthly meeting around the pond in a club member's backyard at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 13. There will be a program about "basic water gardening and pond plants," which will include choosing the right plants for different areas of a pond, avoiding invasive plants, and adding color to the garden.
Event is free and open to anyone. Call Steve or Terry Brown at 541-772-8721.
