Some moms are Carol Bradys and some are Morticia Addams. My mom is a Ginger, and is the greatest mom in the world. She supports me in all I do. When I am down, she helps me to see the situation for what it is and shows me how to look at things from the point of view of others. She has taught me to see the world through humorous eyes, and in all situations quickly find the lighter side of it to learn from it and move on.
My mom has devoted her life to my brother and me. She has attended all my baseball and basketball games and my track meets. She has rarely missed a practice, and when she has, it was to go to my brother's games. I now participate in karate and she drives me to Medford two or three times a week, amounting to 300 miles a week, just for karate classes. When I was younger, I wanted to be Batman. I never wanted to wear anything but my Batman costume, and she made sure I never had to leave the house without it. Between the ages of 3 and 5 that was all I wore.
My mother has taught me to dream big and believe that I can accomplish anything; even being Batman. She has been an example of how to give back to my world and act with compassion, intelligence and humor.
