Dear Mom: I want to let you know that I am one of the three luckiest people in the world; the other two are my brother and sister.
Why are we so lucky, you might ask? It is because we have the honor of calling you our Mom. You are the most wonderful, brilliant and overall most extraordinary person I have ever had the privilege of knowing. You radiate so much kindness and compassion towards anyone you meet. You are simply amazing beyond words.
I know it has been difficult over the years (especially after Dad left our family), when you were left to raise three young children on your own. As a young adult, I only found out recently just how close we were to being homeless on quite a few occasions. I never knew this as a child, because by some miracle you always were able to keep a roof over our heads.
I/we owe so much gratitude to you, Mom. You have and always continue to be my biggest fan, my mentor, my inspiration and the best friend I could ever ask for. I know I am not alone when I say, "You make me want to be a better person!"
We are so lucky to call you our Mom. We love you!
