Medford Planning Commission vacancies remain unfilled, city says

Medford officials are having a tough time finding candidates to fill two open Planning Commission vacancies.

One of the positions has remained vacant since Jan. 1, when Daniel Bunn became a city councilor.

"This is unusual," said Glenda Wilson, assistant to the city manager. "Usually we have an adequate number of people on the Planning Commission."

The commission has nine members and requires five to hold a public meeting. So far, the commission has been able to achieve a quorum for its meeting.

Application forms for the commission are available in the City Manager's Office in City Hall, 411 W. Eighth St., or apply online at

Applications can be mailed to: City Manager's Office, 411 W. Eighth St., Room 310, Medford, OR 97501. The application also can be sent by email to or faxed to 541-618-1700. For questions, call 541-774-2000.
