Tyler Aplin, Crater baseball
Aplin, a junior, hit the winning, two-run home run in the sixth inning as Crater beat Roseburg 4-3 to gain a twin-bill split. He was 2-for-3 with three runs, then went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs in Game 2.
Micah Brown, North Medford baseball
The junior went 6-for-10 in three games against Grants Pass, including a doubleheader sweep that wrapped up the SOH crown for the Black Tornado. He had six RBIs and three runs in the series and raised his batting average to .372.
Joli Hobbs, Prospect softball
The senior belted two home runs in the second game of a District 4 doubleheader sweep of Chiloquin. She was 3-for-3 and also had a double and drove in four runs. In the first game, she rapped a two-run single.
Josie Pratt, Rogue River softball
Pratt belted a grand slam and had six RBIs while going 2-for-2 and scoring four runs in a 19-0 win over Illinois Valley as the Chieftains wrapped up an undefeated Southern Cascade Hybrid season.
Josh Wu, St. Mary’s boys golf
The freshman shot a 2-under-par 70 as the Crusaders set a school record by five strokes with a 289 team score in the District 6 championships at Shield Crest Golf Course.
