  • Marjorie Jean Martini, 83, of Central Point, Ore., passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at her daughter's home. She was born October 8, 1929 in Newton, Kan. to her parents, Dick and Anna (Flaming) Minsch.
    Marjorie was the oldest of three children. She attended Newton High School and graduated in 1947. She married Charles W. Martini in Berkeley, Calif. October 7, 1951. They had two children. They moved to Central Point, Ore. in May of 1960. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, gardening, sewing, and crocheting. Later she had fun creating her own puzzles, and emailing family and friends on her computer.
    Marjorie will be remembered by her loving family, sister, Mae Bernard; brother, Bob Minsch; daughters, Susan Babb and Robin Martini; two granddaughters, Jennifer Babb and Brandy (Mark) Birdsall; and step-grandsons, Ryan and Jimmy Gairson. She is also survived by two great-granddaughters, Brittany Babb and Hannah Birdsall. Marjorie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles.
    Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral for Marjorie at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Foundation on behalf of Marjorie in memory of Charles Martini, her beloved husband.
