Mann helps George Fox to fourth place

MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. — Former North Medford golfer Abby Mann helped George Fox University to its highest national finish Friday at the NCAA Division III women's championships.

The Bruins finished fourth during the four-day tournament Sandestin Beach and Golf Resort's Baytowne course.

Mann, a senior all-Northwest Conference performer, had rounds of 84, 78, 77 and 83 for a 322 total. She tied for 28th place.

George Fox finished with a 324 on Friday on the par-72, 5,831-yard course for a final score of 1,267. The University of Mary-Hardin Baylor (1,239) won the title.
