'The Architecture of Prosperity' is sermon topic

Rev. Joy-Anne Fournier will lead a sermon on "The Architecture of Prosperity" at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 26, at the Center for Spiritual Living, 3581 Lear Way, Medford.

Attendees are encouraged to bring drums to participate in drumming during the morning service. Bridget Wolf will lead a drumming class following the service titled "You've Got Rhythm." The workshop will teach participants how to create their own mantra, how to keep a steady beat, how to care for drums and more. Cost for the class is a $10 suggested donation. Drums will be provided for those without their own, and a children's program will be held during the services.

A spiritual study group will continue discussion of "Conversations with God, Book One" by Neale Donald Walsch at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29. The discussion will cover relationships. Books are provided. Call 541-734-8581.


Christ Unity Church sermon topic is 'How Do You Feel?'

Divorce workshop held at Trail Christian Fellowship

Pastor and counselor Bill Gallagher will hold a weekend workshop on "Growing Through Divorce" from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 30-31, and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Trail Christian Fellowship, 18881 Highway 62, Eagle Point. The event is to assist those who have received or are going through a divorce. Topics will include dealing with an ex-spouse, forgiveness and establishing healthy relationships. Cost is $25 in advance.

High school baccalaureate held at First Baptist Church

High school graduates from Ashland and Phoenix and home-schooled graduates can attend the 2013 baccalaureate at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at First Baptist Church of Ashland, 2004 Siskiyou Blvd. Graduates should wear their caps and gowns, and extra gowns will be available to borrow for those who don't have them. Teen fellowship event held at First Baptist in Phoenix

Bagel lunch and teaching led by Rabbi David Zaslow

Rabbi David Zaslow, spiritual leader of the Havurah, will lead a free bagel lunch and informal teaching at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at 185 N. Mountain Ave.

Adult education offering examines Gospel of John

"Hidden Things: Mysteries and Riddles in the Gospel of John" will be the topic of an adult education offering beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, June 3, at First Presbyterian Church of Medford, 85 S. Strawberry shortcake fundraiser set Saturday

As part of Jacksonville's "Taste of Summer" celebration, First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville will hold a strawberry festival from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the historic church, at the corner of California and Sixth streets.

Cost will be a suggested donation of $3 for strawberry shortcake, and all proceeds will benefit the church preservation fund.

The River of Life Band will perform gospel music on the lawn during the event. Call 541-899-1287.
