  • More rain should spread into the valley Memorial Day, putting a damper on events scheduled for Monday.
The weather system is expected to bring light rain that will continue off and on through the middle of the week.
"Anybody looking for warmer weather — it will be a week later after the holiday," said Mike Petrucelli, a meterologist with the National Weather Service's Medford office.
A storm front will roll through Monday bringing heavier downpours on the coast and in the mountains. The high temperature should hit 63 degrees with one-tenth to a quarter-inch of rain expected. More rain should fall Monday night, possibly bringing another tenth-of-an-inch.
