Dramatic presentation set to be held at Bethel Church

Teen fellowship event scheduled for Saturday

PHOENIX — Teens can attend a fellowship event at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 1, at First Baptist Church, 4655 S. Pacific Highway.

Adult class set to begin at First Presbyterian Church

Pastors Stephen Brewer and Kurt Katzmar and author Gary Brewer will lead the first in an eight-week series on "Hidden Things: Mysteries and Riddles in the Gospel of John" at 7 p.m., Monday, June 3, at First Presbyterian Church of Medford, 85 S. Holly St.

Center for Spiritual Living schedules several events

The Rev. Joy-Anne Fournier will lead a sermon titled "Springing into the Present" at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 2, at the Center for Spiritual Living, 3581 Lear Way, Medford. The service will also include a New Membership Sunday event with a special ceremony for those wishing to become part of the Center for Spiritual Living. A children's program will be held during the services.

A Satsang service will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays beginning June 4. The Rev. Jim Hatton will lead the service. Cost is a $5 donation.

The ongoing spiritual study group will continue its discussion of "Conversations with God, Book One" by Neale Donald Walsch from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the center. Books are furnished. Call 541-734-8581.


St. Mark's to hold parish barbecue, host concert

St. Marks Episcopal Church will hold its annual parish barbecue at 11:15 a.m. following services celebrating Holy Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday, June 2, at the church, 140 N. Oakdale Ave., at the corner of Fifth and Oakdale.

Hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers will be served, and parishoners are asked to bring side dishes.

Bagel lunch and teaching held Sunday at Havurah

ASHLAND — Rabbi David Zaslow will lead an informal teaching and free bagel lunch at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at the Havurah Shir Hadash, 185 N. Mountain Ave.

Several events scheduled at Christ Unity Church

The Rev. Rob Wheeler will speak on "One Thing at a Time" at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 2, at Christ Unity Church, 540 N. Holly St., Medford. Following the service will be a birthday potluck.

A silent unity prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the church. A metaphysical Bible discussion will follow at 11:30 a.m.

Self-defense classes set at Abundant Life Fellowship

World martial arts champions John Gill, Jeremy Roarty and Joshua Roarty will hold self-defense classes on Saturday, June 15, at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, 25 N. Holly St., Medford. Classes are from 10:30 a.m. to noon for children ages 8 to 12, and 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Following the seminar, Christian-based martial arts team UNCHAINED will perform and speak on the theme "Rock Drama With a Message."

Admission is a suggested donation of $20.
