  • Medford police suspect a woman robbed a Bank of America at 790 Stevens St., Medford, Wednesday afternoon.
Surveillance footage shows a woman waiting in line at the bank, then approaching a teller at 4:53 p.m. Wednesday with a note demanding money and indicating that she was armed. No weapon was seen.
The woman fled with an undisclosed amount of money that she stuffed into a white plastic grocery bag. Authorities are not sure which direction she went in after leaving the bank, which closed after the robbery.
The robber is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build and dark hair, and she appeared to be 40 to 50 years old. She wore a maroon-colored baseball cap on with the number 99 on it and a black and maroon jacket with white piping. She also has a tattoo on the left side of her neck.
"If she's been arrested before we will have documentation of the tattoo and may be able to locate her," said Budreau.
Police ask anyone with information to call 541-774-2250.
