  • Aaron Michael Coats, 37, of Central Point, Ore. went home to his field of dreams in Heaven Monday, June 3, 2013.
He was born September 25, 1975. He is survived by his parents Jerry and Wendy May of Central Point, Ore, and Thomas and Cindy Coats of Palm Desert, Calif. He had a wonderfully large family of many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved him dearly. He is survived by his well loved grandmothers, Betty De Forest and Gertrude Coats.
Aaron lived his life to the fullest, only his physical limitations holding him back. We are richer in love and stronger in faith because we had Aaron in our lives.
Aaron graduated from Crater High School in 1995 and lived his life for sports. He played Special Olympics softball and bowling, was an honorary manager of Crater High football and basketball teams, always rooted for the Oregon Ducks, and loved watching his brother Andy play basketball.
Aaron was a healer of hearts and a comfort to many. He so enjoyed time spent with his grandparents. A phone call from Aaron was a gift.
It breaks our hearts to lose him, but he didn't go alone. Part of us went with him, the day God called him home.
There will be a celebration of Aaron's life at Table Rock Christian Fellowship June 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. Any donations may be sent in Aaron's name to Special Olympics of Southern Oregon, 33 N. Central Ave. Suite 411, Medford, OR 97501.
