Ronald Eugene De Bois, 81, formerly of Medford, Ore., passed away peacefully holding his daughter's hand, June 7, 2013, in Palm Harbor, Fla., where he spent the last year of his life with his daughter and surrounded by the love of his family.

He was predeceased by his wife, Norma De Bois; by his parents, Oran and Catherine De Bois; and his brothers, Dion and Oran Jr.

Ronald was born in Elkhart, Ind. February 21, 1932, and moved to Southern California as a boy, where he met and married his wife, Norma, December 9, 1950, in Wilmington, Calif. He served in the Naval Reserve. Ronald was a wholesale hardware salesman in the San Fernando Valley with American Hardware until he moved to Eagle Point, Ore. in 1968. He continued to work as a wholesale hardware salesman for Garheime Corporation in Southern Oregon and Northern California. In addition, he was part-time rancher on his beloved Hidden Hills Ranch in Eagle Point, until he moved to Medford after his retirement.

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Beverly Johnson, of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and son, Michael De Bois, of Phoenix, Ore.; his granddaughter, Brooke Bernal, of Gaithersburg, Md.; and his two great-granddaughters, Emilia and Dalia, who were the loves of his life.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Abbey Funeral, 550 Business Park Dr., Medford. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2013, at Eastwood Cemetery Mausoleum located at Highland and Siskiyou Blvd. in Medford.
