  • Silverton, Ore. Our beloved mother Ann Titchenal, 76, passed away and went to be with her Father in Heaven on June 10, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Donald; and three sons, Michael, Jonathan, and David Titchenal; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild (and one on the way).
Born in 1936 to Moses and Mary Yoder in a farm house in Fredericksburg, Ohio, Annie M. Yoder grew up in an Amish community with 10 siblings attending a one-room school house through the eighth grade. She married Don Titchenal in Phoenix, Ariz. September 1, 1961 and eventually settled in Gold Hill, Ore. where she and Don raised their children.
Her life was in service to Jesus Christ, freely giving herself as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She also faithfully served others through jobs as a camp cook, teacher's aide, city counselor and mayor. She was obedient in caring for the poor and needy, visiting those in prison, and being diligent in prayer for everyone.
A memorial will be held at the Assembly of God Church, 437 N. James St., Silverton, Ore. Saturday, June 15 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing available at the church from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Ann Titchenal to the Union Gospel Mission of Salem, PO Box 431 Salem, OR 97308.
