Medford Beer Week pours forth nine separate beer events today.
Starting at 2 p.m., join the Ninkasi dodge ball tournament with a beer garden featuring Ninkasi brews operated by Beerworks and Summit Beverage at the end of Bartlett Street, just off Main Street.
At 3 p.m. Buttercloud Bakery, 310 Genessee St., will have giant handmade pretzels with dipping sauces and an all Oregon IPA blind tasting challenge.
At 5 p.m. Beerworks, 323 E. Main St., has a tap take-over in which every tap handle is replaced with 10 Barrel beers.
At 6 p.m. 4 Daughters, 126 W Main St., hosts a tap take-over and small plate pairing with Lagunitas Brewing.
Also at 6 p.m. Porter's, 147 N Front St., hosts Lost Coast Brewing for a tasting and pint feature. Free beer samples will be offered along with specials on Lost Coast Beers.
Right at dinner time starting at 6 p.m., Howie's on Front, 16 N. Front St., will have five unique Widmer Brothers beers paired with Chef Justin's culinary creations.
At 6 p.m. Southern Oregon Brewing Comedy Night at Chadwicks begins at Chadwicks Pub and Sports Bar, 2300 Biddle Road. Samples of SOB and discounts on SOB pints will be available as comedians Brett Hamil and Mike Wally Walters perform. Special appetizers will be paired with SOB beers. Cover is $8.
At 8 p.m. Apocalypse Brewing, 545 Rossanley Drive, will have a zombie and post-apocalypse survivor costume contest. Come dressed as one of the walking dead or the survivor of the apocalypse and be judged by the Apocalypse Brewing Crew. The winner will receive “killer” swag and all contestants get discounted prices.
The festivities come to a close at 10 p.m. at The Office, 1 S. Riverside Ave., with a beer tasting with Deschutes Brewery. Samples will be provided amidst live entertainment.
