Exhibit tells students' stories

Rogue Community College and the Southern Oregon Historical Society have partnered up to produce an exhibition on English as a Second Language students who immigrated to Southern Oregon.

The exhibit, "Stories of Home," is on display in the Rogue Valley Mall's first floor near the elevator. It will be shown through July 10.

The exhibit details stories of RCC students who have come from Iran, Indonesia, Guatemala, and other places. It describes their community contributions, why they chose to move here, and advice for other immigrants. The display also features their writings, portraits and cultural pieces from their native countries like music instruments and clothing.
