County to break ground on building

A groundbreaking ceremony for Jackson County's new $28 million Health and Human Services building will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, at the corner of West Eighth and Ivy streets in Medford.

County Commissioner Chairman Don Skundrick and Medford City Council member Al Densmore will speak.

The 86,000-square-foot structure will consolidate all Health and Human Services departments — except animal control — under one roof. Construction of a new parking garage with 400 spaces also is part of the project.
