Norman Lankford passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, Ariz. Norman was born February 15, 1934 in Hanford, Calif., the only child of Ray H. and Annie Elizabeth Lankford. On November 10, 1962, in Reno, Nev., Norman married Constance (Connie) Brown.

Norman worked for Monroe Calculating Company and IBM Corporation before starting Valley Office Equipment in Medford, Ore. which he owned and operated from 1966 until his retirement in 1995. Norman was a long-time member and supporter of the National Office Machine Dealers Association and held many volunteer positions in that organization. In 1992 he was elected and served as national president of the association. Norman also belonged to the Medford Rogue Rotary Club for over 10 years prior to his retirement.

Norman enjoyed playing fastpitch softball, bowling, square dancing and belonged to the Medford Elks RV club.

Upon retirement Norman and Connie spent 15 years living in their motorhome full-time, traveling the United States and Canada. The last few winters were spent at Country Roads RV Resort in Yuma, Ariz. where Norman was an avid pool player.

Norman is survived by his wife, Connie; sons, Terry (Gayla), of Bono, Ark., Howard, of Beaverton, Ore., Keith (Terri), of White City, Ore.; and five grandchildren. Norman was preceded in death by a son, Michael.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church in Medford. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Presbyterian Church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford, OR 97501. Private internment will be at Siskiyou Memorial Park.
