Ian Elder passed on to be with his Lord June 11, 2013. He was born March 15, 1959 in the old Sacred Heart Hospital in Medford, Ore.

He was a master of all trades in the oil fields of Wyoming, construction work, millwork, and a farm laborer, being the longest of all the others.

He loved his friends and family and was looking forward to spending more time this summer with his sons and their families. He loved to fish, camp out, and swim, but especially he loved to collect marbles and his collection was extensive. He spent hours playing with them and looking them up in books and on the Internet.

Ian was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Elder, of Seattle, Wash; stepfather, Glen Allen, of Medford; all of his grandparents; sister, Jacquetta (Jackie) Elder, of Medford; and brothers, Kyle Elder, of Portland, Ore., and Randall (Randy) Elder, of Seattle.

Ian is survived by his mother, Janet Allen, of Medford; his sons, Shane (daughter Effie) Elder, of Corpus Christie, Texas, Justin (wife Deanna, daughters Sophia and Natalie) Tucker, of Medford; sister, Cena (Dean) Peters, of Murphy, Ore.; step-brothers, Ron (Sherry) Allen, of Milwaukie, Ore., Don Allen, of Yreka, Calif., Glen Jr., of Twin Falls, Idaho, James Allen, of Merlin, Ore., Dennis Allen, of Rogue River, Ore.; step-sisters, Glenda (Alex) Bashans, of Gold Hill, Ore., and Linda (Jeff) Mewis, of Denver, Colo.; and lots of nieces and nephews.
