A girl believed to be autistic was found walking naked along Interstate 5 early Sunday just north of Ashland, according to the Oregon State Police.
The girl, only identified as a juvenile, was unable to communicate and appeared to be autistic, troopers who responded to the scene discovered.
After she was taken to a local hospital, it was determined the girl wasn't injured and there was no evidence she was the victim of a crime.
Within three hours, the girl's custodians were contacted, OSP Lt. Gregg Hastings said.
"At this point in time, we are grateful we were able to take care of it quickly," he said.
