A Medford man was arrested Tuesday and charged with burglarizing three residences in which firearms, personal documents and other property were stolen.
Jackson County sheriff's detectives charged Shawn Farrell, 30, with first-degree burglary, seven counts of first-degree theft and credit card fraud. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $64,000 bail.
The burglaries were reported on Crowfoot Road in Eagle Point, Pioneer Road in Medford, and Fielder Lane in Rogue River. A total of seven firearms and documents with the victims' personal information were stolen from the homes, Jackson County sheriff's spokeswoman Andrea Carlson said.
Deputies identified Farrell as a suspect after he had pawned several of the stolen firearms. They were able to recover five of the seven stolen firearms. Farrell also tried to access a victim's banking information at a Medford bank, which has prompted an investigation by Medford police.
