Singer and songwriter Alice DiMicele and her band — guitarist Jeff Pevar, trumpet player, guitarist and bassist Mikey Stevens and violinist and mandolin player Crystal Reeves — will perform her Americana-style music at 8 p.m. Friday, June 21, at the Applegate River Lodge, 15100 Highway 238, Applegate.

Earlier this month, DiMicele, an avid hiker and gardener and a former river guide, released "If I Were an Otter: Songs for Kids of All Ages," a collection of originals along with covers of tunes by Jesse Fuller, David Mallet and Bob Marley — and an arrangement of the gospel song "This Little Light of Mine."

"My vision was to make an album for kids that parents would also enjoy," DiMicele says.

She'll perform a couple of the songs from the new album at the Applegate Lodge show.

Singer and songwriter David Kai will open the show.
