Unemployment benefits increase

The minimum and maximum amounts paid to Oregonians filing unemployment benefits will see slight increases at the end of this month, a news release from the Oregon Employment Department reports.

The respective weekly amounts of $126 and $538 reflect increases of about 3 percent, up from $122 and $524. The state employment department recalculates the amounts, which are percentages of the average weekly wage in the state, each year.
