U.S. Bank Foundation donates funds to baseball society

The U.S Bank Foundation has made a $2,000 donation to the Medford Youth Baseball Society to help finance the seat expansion project at Harry & David Field.

Aaron Hoefling, local vice president and district manager for U.S. Bank, presented the check to Gary Miller, president of the youth baseball group, during a ceremony at the ballpark last week.

The Medford Youth Baseball Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds to improve Harry & David Field. The field opened in 2006 at 2929 S. Pacific Highway.


South's Uperesa-Fidow signs letter with Holy Names

South Medford volleyball player Brianna Uperesa-Fidow signed a letter of intent to play at NCAA Division II Holy Names University in Oakland, Calif.

Uperesa-Fidow was named to the Southern Oregon Hybrid second team as a right-side hitter this past season.

Holy Names finished 11-16 in 2012.
