  • The Wenatchee AppleSox built a nine-run lead en route to an 11-3 win over the Medford Rogues in West Coast League action at Harry & David Field on Wednesday.
    The AppleSox (9-9) scored a run in the second inning, four in the third and four more in the eighth.
    The Rogues got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the eighth.
    Winning pitcher Jake Bruml gave up six hits, three runs and three walks in 72/3 innings. He struck out four.
    Caleb Palensky went 2-for-4 for Medford (8-13).
    The Rogues swept in a doubleheader against Wenatchee on Tuesday to take the series.

    CENTRAL POINT 4, FAIRFIELD 3 — At Central Point, Ty Fox went 3-for-3 and scored the go-ahead run for the Comets in nonleague play at Anhorn Field.
    With the score tied at 2, Fox singled to lead off the eighth inning. He later came home on a Fairfield fielding error.
    Dylan Pearce was 3-for-4 and Taylor Tibbets 2-for-4 for the Comets (9-2).
    Fox had an RBI double in the first inning, Ty Plankenhorn an RBI sacrifice in the sixth and Pearce an RBI single in the eighth.
    Zach Lathrop and Gunnar Asher combined on a six-hitter.
    Fairfield's Jake Hedrick hit a solo home run to lead off the ninth.
