Margarita (Marge) Julia Wirgler was born October 19, 1920, in Chicago, Ill., to Marie (Ehlers) and Harry Cornils. At a young age, she and her mother moved to Hollywood, Calif. They moved to San Francisco, Calif. when she was a teenager and she graduated from Washington High School. In San Francisco she married Louis A. Wirgler Jr., and several years later they moved to South San Francisco, Calif, with their two children. In 2008, Marge moved to Medford, Ore., to be close to her daughter.
Marge had many jobs throughout her life, including dancer, business owner and waitress. But first and foremost, she was a mom and Gramma. She loved her independence and always tried to educate herself. Her hobbies were reading, art, writing, and lover of cats.
She was a beautiful, loving, and kind person. She was a friend to all and a wonderful mother, Gramma and mother-in-law. It was always fun to be with her.
She is survived by her son, Michael L. and his wife, Nancy Taylor, of Oakland, Calif.; and her daughter, Suzanne M. Grimes and husband, Cecil Grimes, of Medford, Ore.; grandchildren, Renee, Marlee, Peter, Andrea, and Matthew; and five great-grandchildren.
No service is planned. Donations in Margarita's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
