Bradford "Brad" L. Hope was born May 5, 1957, in Medford, Ore. to Joe "Bud" and Ruth Hope. Brad passed away in his home June 23, 2013 at age 56.

He attended San Mateo College and San Francisco State majoring in developmental psychology and criminal justice. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving from July 1980 through September 1984 as an aircraft maintenance specialist, Sgt. E4, enjoying time in Germany. Brad worked for the Jackson County Sheriff Department from May 1985 through October 2007, when he transferred to the Josephine County Sheriff Department until his retirement in May 2010.

Brad is survived by his mother, Ruth; his children, Joe (19) and Marina (14); his wife, Kelli, of Medford; brother, Lance (Jan) of Omak, Wash.; uncle Bob (Marla) Lance, of Central Point; cousins, nieces and nephews in Oregon and Washington. Brad loved, supported, and bragged about his children and their accomplishments to anyone who would listen. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe, in 1976.

Those who loved and knew Brad best described him as having a kind heart, desiring to serve humanity. We know that his soul is at rest and he is at peace. We will miss him always.
