Watch the Olate Dogs, winners of NBC's 2012 “America's Got Talent” competition, do back flips, jump rope and perform other routines Tuesday and Wednesday in the Compton Arena.
The arena also will be the stage for freestyle motocross riders on Thursday, the Maddog Bullriding contest on Friday, a monster truck and quad extravaganza on Saturday, and Jackson County Stockmen's Association's Ranch Rodeo on Sunday. All these events are free with the price of admission.
The Great Bear Show, an animal education program, brings bears orphaned as cubs from its ranch in Montana. Animals will be on display daily with special shows at 1, 4 and 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
Walk on the Wild Side displays wild felines that are orphaned, abandoned, or sold illegally into captivity and later rescued.
Mutton busting lets children 3 to 6 years old, weighing less than 60 pounds, try to ride a sheep for six seconds. Shows will be at noon, 3 and 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday next to the Mace Building. Registration is open before each show. Winners from each go-round are invited back to the Championship Round at noon Sunday.
Look for a roving robot interacting with people at the fairgrounds.
Camel rides from Big Al and Tonto are available for an additional fee.
