Industrial Fire Precaution Level II regulations ban all use of fire in the forests. Welding or cutting metal, blasting and the use of cable yarders is prohibited between 1 and 8 p.m. Power saws are also banned through those afternoon and evening hours except at loading sites.
Additionally, commercial operators on forestlands are required to have fire suppression equipment on site and provide watchman service.
