Harlee Case at Caldera

Harlee Case is a singer and songwriter living in Medford.MT file photo

Harlee Case — who played the Table Rock City Stage last week before Britt Festival's ABBA tribute band concert — plays acoustic guitar and sings in a soulful, Norah Jones-style voice. She compares her original music to that of Colbie Caillat and to Jewel’s style in the ’90s.

Case will open for Seattle-based songstress Pepper Proud at 9 p.m. Friday, July 12, at Caldera Tap House, 31 Water St., Ashland.

Case’s first album, released when she was 18, featured primarily songs about breaking up and the heartbreak that follows, but more recently, her music has taken a positive spin and is more upbeat and “poppy,” she says.

The cover to the show at Caldera is $3 to $5. Proud will present music from her newest album, “Riddles & Rhymes,” released March 15.
