Trailer stolen from county department

Someone made off with a trailer belonging to the Jackson County Roads Department, the Jackson County Sheriff's Department reported.

The theft was reported at 2:30 p.m. Thursday when roads department workers discovered that someone had cut through the fence at 200 Antelope Road, White City, and had taken a tandem axle water trailer.

The stolen trailer is a black flatbed with a 500-gallon white plastic water tank. It has a hose reel with an orange hose and a pump. The Oregon license plate is E232977. The estimated value of the trailer is $8,000, according to a news release.

The case is under investigation. The Sheriff's Office asks anyone with information to call 541-774-6800.
