  • Gordon Eugene Hansen passed away peacefully with his wife and family by his side July 8, 2013, at Providence Medford Medical Center. Gordon was born December 4, 1945 in Mauston, Wis., the youngest son of Soren and Alma Hansen.
    Gordon attended elementary school in Wisconsin, then moved to the Medford, Oregon area as a young man. He graduated from Crater High School in 1966. In 1967 he joined the U.S Army. and went to Korea.
    On December 18, 1971, Gordon married Claudia Woodbury in Medford, and moved to Central Point, Ore. Gordon worked as a mechanic, welder and millwright for various companies. He was a member of the Oregon Army National Guard from 1980 to 1995 where he was an equipment mechanic and truck driver.
    Gordon was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling when he could. He also loved to hunt, fish, and go camping.
    During his long illness and recent cancer Gordon showed great strength and humor. Everyone he touched enjoyed his playful attitude and wonderful smile.
    Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Claudia; his daughter, Lori; his three sons, Danny, Chris, and Randy; and his eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister.
    A service will be held on Monday July 15, 2013 at Table Rock Fellowship, 3610 N. Pacific Hwy. A brief viewing will be from 10:30-10:45 a.m. with the service following. Military Honors will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Arrangements by Perl Funeral Home, 541-772-5488.
